At the July 22 Board of Selectmen meeting, members reviewed a list of planned capital and operating projects that staff estimated could raise next year's municipal budget by more than 12 percent, with no reductions projected afterward. The board asked for a refined priority list and a separate work session but took no immediate action to limit scope. In the same meeting the board approved shifting up to $90,000 from the building maintenance line to support a state solar grant application and committed ARPA funds to related projects. It also adopted a new EMS wage matrix carrying an extra $34,000 annual cost and reclassified the Executive Assistant position to Executive Assistant/HR Coordinator with retroactive pay at grade 14.
