Approval of Minutes
The commission is developing a digital 'Look Book' to provide residents with accessible design inspiration and guidelines for local projects.
- First, the scope of discussion shifted. While the agenda noted a discussion on a town historic list, the Commission pivoted to a plan to migrate these records into the state’s EMTT+ database. This changes the technical and legal nature of how our local history is recorded.
- Second, a 'Londonderry Look Book' is coming. This web-based guide will provide design guidance for building categories, colors, and materials. The goal is to 'inspire' design, but it establishes a framework that property owners and developers will have to navigate.
- Finally, the Commission expressed concern that they may be getting bypassed by the Planning Department, noting they have only reviewed three buildings so far this year. We need to ensure heritage oversight remains part of the development process.
