At the May 15 Historic District Commission meeting in Amherst, members took up revised district regulations that had not appeared on the published agenda. The same meeting approved a freestanding sign for Amherst Congregational Church by 3-2 roll call. The agenda described a wood sign with painted black copy and painted graphics. The approved version used applied vinyl rainbow graphics with a satin or matte finish.
