During the May 12 meeting, the Board discussed potential revisions to the Conservation Subdivision Ordinance. Currently, these developments use a 'yield plan' to determine how many homes can be clustered to preserve open space. The Board is now exploring a shift to a 'formula-based' approach. This is a critical distinction: if the formula changes, it changes the math developers use to maximize lot density.

There was also pointed discussion regarding what actually constitutes 'conservation land.'
